Therapist Statement
Are you or someone you know struggling with old emotional pain? I consider a trauma disorder to be anyone who has had a painful experience in their life and it is still affecting them in a negative way. It can show up as a whole host of different kinds of symptoms, and can affect thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It is usually driven by some old pain that has gotten stuck inside somewhere. I help people get rid of old pain.
I believe in treating the cause of symptoms, not the symptoms themselves. Symptoms can include: depression, anxiety, panic attacks, anger, violence, phobias, addictions, compulsions, obsessions, and many other thoughts and behaviors that people use to cover up the pain. Overreactions and feeling out of control at times can also be caused by old pain.
The technique I use with clients allows them to convert the trauma they are still stuck in into memory and the pain is released. Hence the term "Trauma Conversion Therapy". It is a simple process, very effective, and usually short-term (less than 20 sessions). I have had clients describe the technique as "quick", "powerful", "effective" and "compassionate".
